As the first national platform of its kind, the idea of establishing it was initiated by the Al-Hussein Association - the Jordan Center for Training and Comprehensive Integration. The Supreme Council for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities was consulted during the preparatory phase on the issue of establishing the platform

Raad Platform is the first national platform of its kind in Jordan, which was launched with the aim of achieving comprehensive, inclusive and sustainable community development in all governorates of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, with the aim of empowering people with disabilities, engaging them in society, and making them productive and active individuals.
